Summary
Supervisory responsibility for Information Capture and Support Services including the claim file room, scanning area, correspondence processing, department reporting, application scanning and indexing, education and quality clerical support, reference library support, and general administrative support of Plan Services operations and projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
§ Management and efficient work flow of incoming and internal receipts.
§ Maintain or exceed designated time frame goals.
§ Manage staff assignments proportionate to inventory levels.
§ Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
§ Promotes a positive team environment and fosters active continuous process improvements.
§ Assist in determining staffing requirements.
§ Maintains and updates personnel files including attendance records.
§ Provides timely performance appraisals and performance coaching with appropriate follow-up.
§ Provide a team reward and recognition program.
§ Other special projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws for 15 to 22 employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; negotiating and fostering positive solutions.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
